Ethanol Fuel - What are the dangers?

Simply put, ethanol is an excellent SOLVENT, CLEANSER, DRYING AGENT and unlike MTBE, ethanol gas will ABSORB WATER. Ethanol easily and quickly dissolves resins, rust, dirt etc. that creates a sludge that coats and travels through the engine, causing engine stalling and complications, clogged fuel filters and more.

Due to ethanol's affinity for water, phase separation and water contamination occurs quickly.

Compared to conventional gasoline, ethanol blend fuels can absorb up to 50 times more water.

Sometimes ethanol is mistakenly blended into the gas at the pump at dangerously high levels. Using gas with over 10 % alcohol will damage most conventional engines and cause major engine performance problems.
